Insulated glass or also called hermetic glass, is a prefabricated product composed of two crystals separated by a chamber of dry, still and watertight air.
It constitutes an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator. The tightness of the assembly is ensured by a perimeter seal with butyl on the separator.
Its main function is thermal control through the proper selection of the glass that makes up the piece, it is also possible to achieve, together with excellent thermal insulation, a moderate level of acoustic insulation, for this, the use of “laminated” glass is recommended in one of the panels that make up the piece.
